NUMERACY ASSESSMENT

STANDARD BASED ASSESSMENT
The marks and comments will be separated by competencies:
- REASONING AND MODELLING on tests it will be coded [RM]
It will assess if a student can interpret a word problem and turn it into an equation, if a students can connect algebra and graphs, and the creativity of the student.
- SOLVING AND UNDERSTANDING on tests it will be coded [SU]
It will assess if a student understands the concepts and is able to apply the different techniques taught without mistakes.
- COMMUNICATING AND REPRESENTING on tests it will be coded [CR]
It will assess the rigour, the vocabulary used, how clear the work is presented and the arguments are given, as well as how correctly and rigorously graphs are made.
- CONNECTING AND REFLECTING on tests it will be coded [NF]
It will assess the students reflections, the conclusions he/she draws from his/her work, the connections to prior/other knowledge as well as how a student learns from his/her mistakes.
